Diverse Book Awards 2023 - winners announced

Created by award winning author Abiola Bello and publicist Helen Lewis, the Diverse
Book Awards highlight the best of diverse voices, novels featuring Black, Asian, Latin American and/or inclusive main characters, published in the UK and Ireland.

The Awards are divided into four categories, best picture book, best children's book,  best Young Adult book and best Adult book.  The winners of the children's and YA categories are:

• The Lizzie and Belle Mysteries: Drama and Danger by J.T. Williams, illustrated
  by Simone Douglas

• When Our Worlds Collided by Danielle Jawando, winner of this year's YA Book Prize and YA Jhalak Prize and available to borrow now from the Upper Library.
