World Book Day 2022

World Book Day  is a day set aside every year to celebrate reading for pleasure, authors and illustrators. This year marks its 25th anniversary and takes place this Thursday, 3rd March!

We will be giving out the £1 World Book Day book tokens via form tutors for you to exchange either for a £1 World Book Day book of your choice OR get £1 off any book costing £2.99 or more at all participating bookshops and supermarkets.

This year we are extremely excited to have the award-winning author Patrice
Lawrence coming in for an author visit and book signing with our Year 9 and 10 students!  Her books, which include Orangeboy, Eight Pieces of Silva and Splinters of Sunshine, are available to borrow from the EPHS Libraries.

Other activities including the ever popular ‘Match the Teacher to the Book’ competition and there will be an opportunity to Drop Everything and Read at some point during the day.

There are some great competitions to enter on the World Book Day website too and some brilliant WBD reading lists, including ‘The Power List’ and the ‘Top 25 Books for Teens’.  Check out the lists on OLIVER and borrow the books from your EPHS Libraries.
