Today was the last of our World Book Day week virtual author events, with Year 9 and 10 being given another opportunity to listen to the amazing Alex Wheatle.As well as discussing his early life, as featured in the recent BBC Small Axe film, Alex's talk focused on his latest books, Cane Warriors and The Humiliations of Welton Blake. He gave a very moving and inspiring presentation with key messages about the power of perseverance and the need to read.
This event was organised by Authors Aloud UK as part of their Awesome AuthorFest and delivered as a webinar via Zoom. A recording of this event will be available for you to watch again from Monday for up to a month.
