Empathy Day 2021 - Read for Empathy!

Today is Empathy Day and the focus this year is to use books to 'walk in someone else's shoes'.  Created and run by Empathy LabEmpathy Day is about encouraging children and young people to read empathy-boosting stories to gain a better understanding of people and how they think and feel.

The 2021 Empathy Book Collection for Secondary featuring 20 fantastic books for 12-16 year olds is available to view here.  Copies of the books from the Secondary School Collection are available to borrow form the Library.



We are also asking our students to recommend their favourite read for empathy book and to make an empathy pledge.  Below are some more ideas for how you can get involved:
