British Science Week 2020

This week is Science Week across the UK; a celebration of all things related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Here at EPHS there have been several science activities throughout the week including 'Meet the Professional' sessions with a doctor and a biochemist.

In the Library we have put together a display to highlight diversity within the STEM industry inspired by the smashing stereotypes campaign. The display shows some of the amazing people that have made a huge impact in the science world and showcases some of the many books we have in the library relating to science such as A Lab of One’s Own by Patricia Fara, How Bad are Bananas? The Carbon Footprint of Everything by Mike Berners-Lee and Pig Heart Boy by Malorie Blackman.

If Science Week has inspired you be sure to check out the careers section of the library featuring the STEM jobs for… series.
