Created to champion the best in children's writing and illustration, the Waterstones Children's Book Prize is split into three categories, illustrated books, younger fiction and older fiction. The overall winner will be announced on Thursday, 26th March.
You will find some of the titles on the shortlist in the Library, including Asha and the Spirit Bird by Jasbinder Bilan, High Rise Mystery by Sharna Jackson, I Will Not Be Erased by gal-dem and The Million Pieces of Nina Gill by Emma Smith-Barton.
Previous winners have included The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas and The Boy at the Back of the Class by Onjali Q. Rauf, both of which can also be found in the Library.
